Special Article with Commentaries

The special target article, by Donahoe, Palmer, and Burgos, describes a unified, biobehavioral account of reinforcement that applies equally to respondent (Pavlovian) and operant learning. The account is formulated at both the neurophysiological and behavioral levels, with neural network models providing an interpretive bridge between them. Following this paper are 14 commentaries and then an authors' reply.
