PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPTS FOR JEAB

* Submit your manuscript using ScholarOne. Please first open an account by registering at their site. Then follow the instructions on how to submit your manuscript for publication. For more information, see Preparation of Manuscripts.

If you have questions about a potential submission or about using the ScholarOne manuscript portal, please contact the Editor, Gregory J. Madden.
The Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior (JEAB) is primarily for the original publication of experiments relevant to the behavior of individual organisms. Review articles and theoretical papers are also considered for publication. Manuscripts submitted to JEAB should conform to the style and organization described in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. The following comments supplement the Publication Manual by highlighting some points that are especially germane to submissions to JEAB. Authors should consult the APA Publication Manual (6th Ed.) for detailed discussion of these and other matters. Adherence to these guidelines will make the task of the scientists and other professionals who handle your manuscript easier and will be greatly appreciated.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the format requirements published in the January issue of the current year. Then use ScholarOne, as noted above.

ONLINE SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS FOR JEAB ARTICLES

JEAB now offers authors the possibility of placing supplementary materials for their articles online on JEAB’s website. Supplementary materials may include such items as raw data files, large appendices, photographs, audio or video files, etc. All supplementary materials will be subject to peer review. Authors should include electronic copies of these materials when they submit their manuscripts to the journal, and these materials should follow the formatting requirements for supplementary materials established by the American Psychological Association (www.apa.org/journals/authors/ suppmaterial.html). If accepted, the materials will be placed on JEAB’s website when the article is published, and an author’s note in the article will give the Internet address for the supplementary materials. In addition, when a JEAB article appears online with PubMed Central, any accompanying supplementary materials will appear there, also.
