Skinner, B. F. (1999). Some Responses to the Stimulus ‘Pavlov.’ (Reprinted) Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior, 72, 463-465.

There was no abstract accompanying the original publication of this article. The sesquicentennial of Ivan Petrovich Pavlov's birth in September 1999 was celebrated in Russia by a special issue of the Russian Journal of Physiology (the former I. M. Sechenov Physiological Journal, founded by Pavlov in 1917). This article is scheduled to appear in Russian translation in that special issue. Skinner’s article was his presidential address to the Pavlovian Society of North America in 1966. The preceding article---on pages 455-461--- by Catania and Laties provides the context for Skinner's address by describing some ways in which Pavlov's research influenced Skinner's contributions.
